Science with Miss Tolland

P7/6 have been having hours of fun learning about the human body and the sensory organs with Miss Tolland.  They recently completed an experiential learning task where each group had to produce a sensory experience for all of the other groups.  Here are some pictures from the day.

P7/6 taking their learning down the school

P7/6 have been using skills which they have learned during creating their own fashion show outfits to teach the younger children of the school.

Niamh, Morgan and Sophie taught P2/1 how to make a hat template and Scott and Paige taught P4/3 how to make masks.  The children were confident and organised when presenting their lesson and the rest of the class offered support to the younger children throughout.

P2/1 will now take their hats home to be decorated in the style of an Easter bonnet using recycled products.  P4/3 have now finished their masks. They used old books to add decoration and colour to them and used paper shredding for whiskers, stripes and hair.  Don't they look great?

P4 - 7 had lots of fun designing and making clay beads using different patterns and textures.  We have now left them to dry and will be decorating them to create pieces of jewellery that will be for sale at the fashion show.

Coming soon - Carleith's Fashion Show!

P7/6 have been working very hard alongside P5/4 to create outfits for their upcoming fashion show.  They had to consider reducing, reusing and recycling when making their outfits and many children took old clothing in from home to change into something new.  Here are our final group outfits.
